鎖樋 Rain Chain

Inspired by the rain chains commonly found in Japanese architecture for water drainage, I was captivated by the serene ambiance created by the gentle dripping of rainwater during my visit to Kyoto. 
This concept evolved into a miniature version of a rain chain, where I incorporated decorative elements reminiscent of traditional Japanese gutter chains. Crafted from brass and wood, this piece is decorative in the courtyard. When rainwater rains, it gracefully flows down the brass chain, collecting in the square basin below.

The main materials used in this piece are oak, walnut, and brass.
