Industrial-Academic Cooperation Project
Behind the fashion industry hides a lot of textile waste. The rise of fast fashion has accelerated the production of waste fabrics. However, these wastes are rarely known by the general public. My client, Sewing Ltd.Co, hoped to arouse the public's awareness.
This project is a portable sewing workstation that lets fashion designers show their working process to the public. We want to show society the beauty of wasted textiles and offer the community a way to reuse waste textiles by presenting the complete production process as performance. Meanwhile, we hope to share the story behind these unique materials.

The working surface revolves around the sewing machine and can be divided into a display area, an ironing/cutting area, and a secondary workspace/vertical display area.
Storage space is conveniently located next to the ironing/cutting area, allowing designers to access materials quickly.

Meeting their needs
Flexible storage
The storage space of Resew’s Sewing Cart can be adjusted to accommodate different materials and fabrics, catering to the diverse range of projects that Sewing Co. Ltd. might undertake.
By adjusting the position of the crossbars, users can create shelves with different heights, or they may hang the sample fabrics on the crossbars with hangers. While creators can also carry separate storage bins when setting up booths, having commonly used materials at hand can be much more convenient.
Thread rack
The holes in front of the sewing area allow creators to securely hold different colored thread spools, enabling quick changes according to different fabrics.
BobbinsThe side tabletop cover has grooves to hold up to six bobbins.
LightingLEDs are embedded in the crossbeam to provide creators with ample lighting.
